Understanding User Roles: Who Does What?
Before diving into how Lead Capture works, it’s important to understand the two key roles within your CloudCard organization:
- Enterprise Admin: This is the power user in your organization. They have full control over the digital business card templates, can add or remove users, and manage organization-wide settings, including enabling or disabling the Lead Capture feature.
- General User: These users have access only to their individual cards. They can update their own card details and view personal analytics, but they won’t be able to change organization-wide settings.
Enabling Lead Capture
To activate the Lead feature, the Enterprise Admin simply needs to:
- Head over to the “Card Setup” section on the CloudCard dashboard.
- Toggle the Lead Capture feature to ON.
Once activated, Lead Feature becomes available to everyone in the organization, allowing all users to collect leads directly through their digital cards. If toggled off, the feature will be disabled across the board.

How to Capture a Lead with Your CloudCard
Capturing leads through your digital business card has never been easier, here’s exactly how it works:
- Click “Save Contact” When someone views your CloudCard, they simply tap the “Save Contact” button. This triggers a sleek, easy-to-complete form.
- They Enter Their Details The form asks for a few key pieces of information, nothing too personal, just enough for you to reconnect meaningfully.
- They Share Their “Reason to Connect” This is where Lead Capture shines. The form includes a short field for the visitor to add a quick note, perhaps “Discussed SEO collaboration” or “Met at London Tech Expo.” It’s your future self’s best friend, giving you instant context when it’s time to follow up.
- Click “Share & Save Contact” Once submitted, both sides win. Your contact information is saved directly into their phone, and theirs into your CloudCard dashboard.
- Automatic Email Confirmation To make the connection even more seamless, both of you will receive a friendly email confirming the exchange, so it’s clear, timely, and trackable.
What If They Don’t Want to Share Their Details?
No pressure. If someone prefers to remain anonymous or already has your details, they can simply scroll down and tap “Save Contact” without filling in the form. Your contact info will still be saved in their phone, but no data will be sent back to you. Respectful and entirely in their control.

- View every lead captured by every user
- Reassign leads to the appropriate team members
- Organize and filter leads based on roles, tags, or events
- Ensure nothing slips through the cracks
For General Users: Personal Lead Tracking Made Easy
If you’re a General User, your dashboard view is more focused. You can:
- View only the leads you’ve personally captured
- Add notes to each lead to record context or follow-up plans
- Stay organized and proactive without the clutter
